These wood coasters make excellent gifts and look just like the hip, stylish coasters you see in pricey catalogs. They take minutes to create, making them a great hostess gift idea too.

This project can not be any easier! Simply hot glue a beads onto the cork coaster bases.

Designer Tips: Plan out your design in advance to ensure that you cover the entire cork base. If your beads don’t fit exactly, consider trimming the coaster down so that you can get a full line of beads across the entire cork piece. (Of course, keep in mind that they still need to be large enough to set a cup or glass onto them.)

Mix and match wood beads. For some of my coasters, I used round beads that were both round and carved. On another coaster, I used square beads. As long as the colors are consistence, they will look cohesive as a set.

If you are giving these as gifts, make a set of four, and then tie them up with a decorative ribbon and they are ready to go!
